Dominique Bérubé is the Vice-President, Research and Innovation, and Professor in the Faculty of Engineering at McGill University. A strategic leader with intersectoral expertise of the academic, research and innovation ecosystem, Professor Bérubé has more than 22 years of experience in research funding and innovation administration. Professor Bérubé has led the development of large-scale research initiatives and major research infrastructure projects, as well as the implementation of major funding programs, while also demonstrating leadership in Equity, Diversity and Inclusion initiatives.
A member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, she holds a Ph.D. in environmental sciences from the Université du Québec à Montréal and master’s and bachelor’s degrees from Polytechnique Montréal in metallurgical and materials science. Previously, Prof. Bérubé has served as the Vice-President of Research and Graduate Studies at Concordia University, the Vice-President of Research at the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), and the Associate Vice-President of Research at the Université de Montréal.
