In the longer term, these efforts will help provide environmentally responsible methods for the production of commodity chemicals and new medicines to benefit society.
The goal of this research project is to develop broadly applicable technology to discover therapeutic agents that contain boron. The ultimate application of this research is to discover novel molecules to combat antimicrobial resistance.
This project seeks to develop new agents that can efficiently enter the brain to enable noninvasive, early detection of neurodegenerative diseases including Alzheimer’s disease.
Much of Marten’s research aims at finding out how matter behaves by measuring properties of neutron stars.
