The University of Alberta is one of the Top 10 universities in Canada and Top 100 in the world and offers more than 500 graduate programs, 250 specializations and 300 research areas.
As of today, 10 Killam Prizes – Natural Sciences (5), Health Sciences (2), Engineering (2), and Humanities (1) – and 10 Killam Research Fellowships have been awarded by the Canada Council to U of A researchers.
Given Mr. Killam’s business interests in the province, there was no question that the U of A would become a beneficiary under Mrs. Killam’s Will.
