The Canadian Institute of Food Science and Technology has a new Fellow: Dalhousie’s Dr. Vasantha Rupasinghe.
Dr. Rupasinghe became a Killam Chair at Dalhousie in 2016, in the department of Plant, Food & Environmental Sciences. His research focuses on the medicinal biochemistry of photochemicals.
In our research, we strongly believe what Hippocrates (460-377 B.C.), the father of medicine, stated thousands of years before: “Let thy food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food”.
