“I ended up by concluding that big ideas often come from focusing on the tiniest details.”

André Gaudreault is a Professor in the Department of Art History and Film Studies at the University of Montreal and the Canada Research Chair in Film and Media Studies. He is also Director of the Laboratoire CinéMédias, which comprises the CinéMontage project, GRAFICS (Groupe de recherche sur l’avènement et la formation des institutions cinématographique et scénique), the TECHNÈS international research partnership and the Observatoire du cinéma au Québec. Un média en crise à l’ère du numérique (2013) with Philippe Marion, and Le récit cinématographique : Films et séries télévisées (1990 and 2017) with François Jost.
