Dr. Lorne Babiuk, University of Alberta’s vice-president of research, was announced as the 2016 recipient of the World Agriculture Prize, the first Canadian to receive this prize.
Dr. Babiuk, the 2013 Canada Council Killam Prize recipient in health sciences, works both in medicine and in agriculture, two fields which do not always intersect. Babiuk finds this award particularly gratifying as it recognizes both areas of research focus.
Congratulations to Dr. Babiuk – from your proud partners at Killam!
