The project explores the use of nickel-based cathode active materials (CAM) such as LiNixMnyCozO2 (NMC) to improve lithium-ion battery technology and help launch proposed next generation all-solid-state batteries.
Aimy Bazylak’s research will focus on development of new catalyst coated membranes to overcome cost and performance challenges of fuel cells, water electrolyzers, and CO2 electrolzyers, which have great potential to meet clean energy needs.
